April 6, 2001, Newsletter Issue #13: Cascading Stylesheets

Tip of the Week

One way to use CSS is to control the look and feel of fonts associated with the various heading tags (H1 through H6). And the best way to do this is through the use of an external stylesheet. An external stylesheet is a single stylesheet which holds all of the various styles you create. Attach your stylesheet to a web page... and now any tag in your web page that has a style associated with it will be adjusted accordingly. Imagine having a 50 page web site with every page linked to an external stylesheet... now when you make a change on the stylesheet and save it, every page in your site that uses this style is automatically updated!
