Instead of the "Under Construction" message, list short bullets on the page telling what is coming, and invite the user to bookmark the page and come back in a day or so. Make it inviting. What not to do: Don`t use that orange construction image (you know the one -- it`s usually animated and depicts a man with a shovel.... Argh. Bad. And it looks canned, too, since it comes with HomeSite, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, Visual Studio, and about every graphics site has it available). Don`t use that black-and-orange stripe.
