January 10, 2003, Newsletter Issue #54: Fixed Bid or Hourly Rate?

Tip of the Week

Chances are most clients will require a fixed bid quote for any work you perform. The easiest way to avoid getting burned by too many client changes to the site is to make sure and state in your quote that any work performed beyond the scope of the clientīs original written requirements will require an additional charge. Donīt deviate from this... or your client will start expecting you to do work for free.
